Structured group decision making The brainstorm session is a special kind of training process. Unlike many kinds of orthodox training, its purpose is not to transfer information or skills; it is aimed at the group of participants making group decisions. It is part of a wider process of capacity building, leading to organizing for (1) decision making and for (2) action. (Of course, both facilitator and participants will learn things as a result of the session). In this module, the brainstorm documents are separated into different web pages. They include: Brainstorming Principles and Procedures (overall sketch; can be used as a handout); A Visit with the Brainstorm; Notes for the facilitator (aimed at trainers in training); The Brainstorm Session; Notes for the Participant (should be read prior to a session). --» «-- If you copy any text from this site, please link it back to http://www.scn.org/cmp/ Updated: 2003 April 12
