Shareware The training material provided here is useful and interesting. Together, the more than 400 documents provide a complete course of study and reference for community workers, in how to stimulate a community to become stronger, and how to manage a process of regional development intervention. The intention from the beginning was to provide this material for community workers in the field (starting with those with no training at all in the craft), and for their trainers and managers. Since these recipients were expected to be living in low income countries, the material was intended to be free. Producing this material, however, is not free. Many costs are arising from its production. It is necessary to recoup some of those expenses. Furthermore, many of those who are reading and benefiting from this material are not low income community workers. They include libraries, research institutions, international non-governmental organizations, universities (both students and faculty), and commercial firms that provide management, advice and guidance to poor countries but are paid market rate fees from international donor agencies. Word versions of the documents will be sent for free upon request to volunteers who want to translate them into other languages. For that reason, you are requested to use and review the material for free, but if you use it professionally, you pay a market level fee for its use. If you are running a workshop, you can print the web pages and reproduce them By first downloading them from the web site. No charge.
