Philip Francis Wayne Bartle was born 1943 July 2, in Vancouver, BC, Canada, son of Albert Bartle and Dorothy Beatrice (nee Piper) Bartle (see the Al Bartle family History). At age eleven, his family moved from Vancouver to Lakeview Heights, Westbank, across the Okanagan Lake from Kelowna, attending George Pringle Secondary School in Westbank (more details in Phil's resume). Patricia McCalib Patricia Louise McCalib was born in the USA. Phil and Pat Phil and pat were married in 1969. They had one child:
Liz Quayson Elizabeth Wilhelmina Quayson was born (home name of Ekuah Mansah) in the Central Region (then Province), Cape Coast District, Ghana (the then Gold Coast Colony). Her mother was the late Ama Safo She is a "royal" (adehwe), of a matri-lineage (abusua) of the Agona matri-clan (nton), Fanti tribe (oman) or state, based in Dunkwa-on-Offin. Liz was a cashier and book keeper at the University of Cape Caast before coming to Canada. Liz came to Canada, by air, accompanied by Dot and Al Bartle, 1982, January. She works as a student superviser at an alternative school, SJ Willis, in Victoria. Phil and Liz Phil and Liz were married by traditional Akan rites in 1976 in Apewosika, Ghana, by affidavit, Cape Coast, 1980, and by high Court, Tamale, NR, Ghana, 1981. They have two children:
