LEANDRO CHU

Portuguese language translator and coordinator

Profile

I was born in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil .

I never thought about being a translator, I always wanted to be a DBA (Database Administrator).

But then I had that "wake up call"; I quit college before I could get a major in Information Technology and started to love learning new languages.

Now I'm focused on learning new languages and to get a college degree in English and French, maybe other languages later. I'd love to work in the United Nations one day, who knows.

Through this website I could really see what volunteering and community work is all about. I also want to be able to work with any possible dimension of development (global, local, human, community), as well to make this world a better place to live, for living is not surviving.

I love to go to the beach, hang out with friends, and read books (Stephen Hawking, Carl Sagan, Friedrich Nietzsche, Paulo Coelho, etc).

So, I hope to become a better translator each and every day, and also to learn (maybe translate) as many languages as possible. The more I learn the more I want to learn. So my motto is "Never stop learning, for through knowledge we can accomplish incredible things".
