MAUREEN GENETIANO

Tagalog, Cebuano, English and Bicolano language translator

Profile

Since I was young, my family and I moved a lot and that immensely helped in my exposure to the different people and dialects in my country. I was born and raised in the Philippines.

Though I have traveled to many places, my home country will always be special to me. On the other hand, my work in various research organizations (both local and international) has also given me the opportunity to widen my horizons.

In life, I believe in continuously looking for some balance – that it is not all about what you want to have but also what you can share and give to others, no matter how simple and small your contribution is.

Bohol (one of the islands in the Visayas, Philippines)

I find great joy in traveling, reading books, writing, and learning different languages/dialects. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
